I received an email from the nice people at Proper Magazine to say that they’ve collaborated on a project with NOMOI, to ” to put a slight spin on their 678 Jacket”.
“We’ve changed the name as an homage to New Order, and you can win one, made to order and highly limited. All you’ve to do is click here and enter your details”
I have done just that. The winner is announced on 1st August so fingers crossed. The 678 jacket ticks the right boxes for my current thoughts about style; that is utility wear with form and function.
However I wasn’t aware of NOMOI until I received the email from Proper Magazine. Pronounced “noe-moy”; NOMOI was established with the idea to create everyday items that “make you look and feel great”. Their idea is not to create a different collection with each season but to simply design and produce individual pieces that last beyond trends – timeless, wearable pieces. Also all the products and manufactured in the UK. What’s not to like.
Now that I’ve been made aware of NOMOI by Proper Magazine, I’ve entered the completion and signed up for their newsletter. I’m impressed with the principles they’ve set out and the products look good.
The 586 is based on jackets worn by Petty Officers in the US Navy. Made from durable British cotton twill it looks a stylish and hard wearing utility jacket which can be worn as an over shirt when layering or a jacket.
Currently there are nine items for sale at NOMOI. All of them appear well designed and constructed. Look great and they’re reasonably priced too.
Finally I’m very tempted by the wonderful looking 966 trousers, that are based on army fatigue pants of the 1960’s, in heavy drill cotton.
