I have had these photographs for some time. In fact so long that I’m struggling to remember which site it was where I saw them. I believe that it was on the Levis Vintage Collection site or possibly one of Levis social media sites.
Anyway I liked them when I found them originally and I like them now. It is great to see older men wearing jeans and doing so with much style and variety – who says older men can’t wear jeans.
In most of the pictures, but not all, the jeans worn are Levis Vintage Clothing 1947 which was my favourite jean at that time. It has the definitive shape plus the crotch rivet was back – as war time shortages were over by then. However, I prefer the LVC 501 1954z at the moment – which is a straight fit but with a tapered leg.
Either way these photo’s illustrate that you can wear jeans as an older man and look good.
