Universal Works are looking for a new model to be the face of Universal Works for autumn winter 2015. What’s not to like about that?
Sounds good to me. I’m thinking free clobber from one of my favourite brands. Must be worth considering; so what are they looking for?
The criteria is as follows:
- You must be between the ages of 20-60. Okay that’s good – tick.
- You should be around 6ft tall. Hurrah 6’1″ that’s another tick
- Wear a size medium; 32” waist trouser and shoes sizes 8 or 9. Damn!
- Any one applying must be available to work in Nottingham. Okay that’s a tick but size wise it’s not going to be me.
Once upon a time I was “sample” size which, at that time, meant I could get plenty of ex-display clothing, but sadly those days have gone. In Universal Works I’m going to be XL jacket, L for tees, sweats and shirts; 34″ waist and size 10 feet.
Oh well. There were also a couple of additional requirements and I don’t think I qualify here either. You need to be “an all round badass”, whatever that is, but as I’m not sure what it is I’m clearly not the target market; and finally look “good in front of the camera”; which seems like a perfectly reasonable request too. Oh well.
